  6. Fernando on December 29th, 2008 12:17 pm

The Suzuki Hayabusa @ 300 kph? you guys on dope……………..its limiter is set to 300, if you remove the limiter with any mods to the bike, it clears 335 kph………you may want to do some better research!

  7. SHGSX1300R on January 2nd, 2009 11:51 pm

yeah…sure…Italians never had a fast bike…just fancy and nice…lol…See more video on net and you will se what happen when you driving Busa without limiter. Your Ducati and MV Agusta had top speed without limiter. Every Ducati is 280 limited.

  16. tim the motorcycle maniac on June 17th, 2009 10:49 pm

  20. Hank the Tank Hill on August 12th, 2009 1:13 pm

Please my custom fabricated bike with a 1995 Ford Taurus Yamaha SHO motor tops out at 310hp and does the 1/4 mile in 4.3 seconds at 178mph and has top speed of 250+ I aint found tires I trust going that fast.

  21. yohanz on August 28th, 2009 5:05 am

As far as i know Suzuki Hayabusa is the worlds fastest street legal motorcycle

  22. Joe Dirt on September 7th, 2009 8:52 am

What about the Busa turbo is that street legal?

  23. Brandon lee on September 17th, 2009 2:28 am

no the Hybusa top 5 gear at 190 and there is a 6 gear and it tops over 220 and look at this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxP_DaOEqek go to that

  24. general direction on September 17th, 2009 3:34 am

99-01 Hayabusa topped out at 227mph. After 01 a limiter was added, 6 gear will top out at 11k rpm’s. If the bike has the rev limiter “removed” it becomes NON PRODUCTION and is considered modified which takes it to a whole new category. Most motorcycles now have a limiter on them and their top speed is not truthful, you can thank congress for that. The Y2k bike should be on here, it doesn’t have a limiter because of the type of engine was not restricted and was basically unheard of in 01. Plus the price tag makes it very rare.

  25. Drifter9 on October 25th, 2009 11:15 pm

You guys are all incorrectly informed. The fastest bike can be any bike modified post-production. Just get a larger K&N, free-flow, Aftermarket exhausts, suspensions, gera-boxes, clutches, bearings, etc. So officially the fastest street-legal bike is undoubtedly the Busa, followed closely by the Y2K, the Blackbird, the Duc-1098, the R1 and the ZX11R… in that order!!!
    Peace!

  26. WOMBAT on November 16th, 2009 4:46 am

Ego let it go and the truth shall follow , i have a 14 and conceed the busa is quicker , keep in mind ppls that in order to place a top speed temp , HUMIDITY , QNH(air preasure) fuel quality , riders balls ect are all factors that will make big differences on engine preformance , so in conclusion this is not an exacting science :p ……..seen the duke do 315 km/h at Phillip island , not a standard producttion motocycle!

  27. terdsdaword on November 17th, 2009 12:15 am

So i have a completely stock 07 gsxr 600 that i had up to 196mph on the PA. turnpike. Find it hard to believe that the top speed of the 1000cc is barely over 200!

  28. Steve Roth on November 24th, 2009 2:23 am

I heard a rumor that the Dodge Tomohawk could be made street legal.

  29. 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 24 and 48 Cylinders Monster Motorcycles : TransportSpecs.com on November 25th, 2009 12:55 pm

[...] Moving up the list we encounter the Dodge Tomahawk with 10 cylinders. The Dodge Tomahawk is the fastest motorcycle in the world if you accept that it’s not a production model (check out the fastest production motorcycles). [...]

  30. Garron on November 29th, 2009 4:57 pm

The Y2K will go 227mph box stock,on street fuel,no mods.
    That is the fastest,box stock.
This was seen on TV,racing a flying L-39 Albatros jet from a standing start and winning(still on YouTube).
In 1999,the protype consistently shut down exixting police radar and
Dynojet dyno’s at 200 mph, hence the name,a joke on the looming computer problem.
    Anyway,as for the Tomahawk,motorcycles don’t have 4 wheels…
    unless you count training wheels.

  31. Garron on November 29th, 2009 5:14 pm

That is to say,the bike shut down the Dynojet and Radar COMPUTERS,
    hence the Y2K name,as a joke.
Also, the original protype had no onboard computer and was essentially built by human hands without computer assistance,so you could have said that it was
    “Y2K compliant”.

  32. Fastman on November 30th, 2009 2:01 am

busa is definitely fastest wheel driven bike and y2k fastest all time street legal production but it is turbine driven, does not drive the wheels. The Duc and August are awesome handling bikes and much lighter the any of the bikes produced out of Japan … but lets face it anything near 300kph with 175bhp+ is a fuckin’ wild ride and just a rush!!!

  33. DALE ALLEN LAUB on December 14th, 2009 8:29 am

    HELLO, MY NAME IS DALE.
I may not know everything there is to know about motorcycles, most of my motorhead years were spent on musclecars. I do remember the first time I went 120 miles an hour in less than a quarter mile, was on a dual overhead cam inline 4 cylinder honda motorcycle in the 70’s.
Some of you old timers can remember those days. I can every time I go out to my garage and fire up my 1985 ( the original ) Yamaha V-MAX. 145 HP of V-4, dual overhead cam, 4 valves per cylinder rocket ship on two wheels. How could you forget MR. MAX?
Do the research, the 119 hp bikes did not have the V-Boost, they were sold overseas, the 145 hp bikes were sold in the U. S. Even in California, (motorcycles didn’t have the enviromental restrictions other motor vehicles had.)
Just the same, the ol V-MAX, still goes, 1-50 in first gear, 50-85 in second, 85-105 in third, 105 -135+ in 4th. (that is the last time you can look down at the speedomoter before you hit 5th gear) At last glance you notice at around 140mp,
you are up there, but not that close to red-line, Once you hit 5th, you can’t take your eyes off the blur directly in frount of you. It is, something you have to experience yourself. I have rode the fastest amusment rides in Southeren California,Magic mountian, Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, etc. All I can tell my familly is, Not nearly as fast as the old MR. Max,
Why it is not in your list just means you never rode one.

Street legal but they only built 2 due to funding.
    240bhp, 1.5l v8

  37. Eric Norton on January 1st, 2010 2:14 am

I have personally seen a older Hayabusa do a 202mph! I don’t have pictures, or

vids to prove, it. It wasn’t even my bike, it was a friends, But it was clocked by a

Tennessee State trooper off duty on a blocked off safe Road.

  38. kush on January 29th, 2010 4:03 am
