Top 5 Fastest Acceleration Times for Street Legal Motorcycles

Previously I made a top 5 of the fastest street legal motorcycles, so what better way to continue than with a top 5 of the fastest acceleration times?
Only 2 of the motorcycles from the speed top 5 made it into the acceleration top 5. Not surprising since the competition is fierce amongst the hyper sport motorcycles.
Suzuki GSX-R 1100 W
0-100 km/h in 2.4 sec.
Bimota YB8 Furano
0-100 km/h in 2.4 sec.
Kawasaki ZX-12R Ninja
0-100 km/h in 2.5 sec.
Suzuki GSX 1300 R Hayabusa
0-100 km/h in 2.6 sec.
Bimota SB6R
0-100 km/h in 2.6 sec.
kawasaki ninja zx14 can do it in 2.4 sec

I owned a Bimota Furano the first year they come out David Pickworth was the sales person I Loved the bike so did the lads up the ‘high beech’ tea hut in essex some who rode it admitted it was the fastest road bike they had ever rode. The road holding was stunning I’d love to know what become of it!! I still have photo’s of it too. IS IT STILL ABOUT? Ray Hill Lippitts Hill Loughton essex was my address at that time ring any bells??
Talking of Bimota’ I also bought three in total a YB8 then a YB10 and then the Furano in that order. All very good bikes but the ‘Furano’ with its ohlins suspension
front and rear made a big difference on the bikes handling I went precisely where it was aimed ‘at any speed’ The YB10 Deice (maybe I’v spelt wrong !! It means ‘ten’ in Italian. was an unusual bike to look at as it was more ‘enclosed ‘ than other Bimota’s which was a pity as the beauty of the frame design should be exposed for all to see.
hmmmm….thats the truth guys……maybe this page wasnt updated enough…..but the zx-14 had done it for both top speed and acceleration against the hayabusa.hehe
