The Fastest Motorcycle in the World Ever

There seems to be a lot of discussions about what is the fastest motorcycle in the world, but actually there is not that much to discuss.

The Dodge Tomahawk might be a concept model, but it is almost twice as fast as the second fastest motorcycle in the world (Ducati Desmosedici RR).

The Dodge Tomahawk is powered by a V10 engine from a Dodge Viper sportscar. The engine gives it 500 hp (373 kw) and a supposed topspeed around 675 km/h (420 mph)!

Problem is that the Tomahawk isn’t street legal and that the 10 hand-built versions were sold for no less than $550,000 each :(

[...] up the list we encounter the Dodge Tomahawk with 10 cylinders. The Dodge Tomahawk is the fastest motorcycle in the world if you accept that it’s not a production model (check out the fastest production [...]

until that dodge bucket of parts actually achieves 675 km/h it has no claim to any record.

The MTT Y2K motorcycle should be in this list. It has a 320 hp gas turbine engine and has a recorded top speed of 227m.p.h. It is also road legal.
I think they released a new one this year called the Street fighter. That one has 420hp.

Why is it that all of these pages refuse to give the Y2K it’s props. That Dodge pease of crap is only a concept never to hit production.

Even though it has the biggest engine of it has extremly poor aero dynamics
so it doesnt go as fast as superbikes

MTT Y2K would decimate the Tomahawk! Why does everyone always think the Tomahawk is the fastest? The MTT Y2K would leave the Tomahawk like it was stationary!

er… did you happen to read that it tops out at 675 kph??? even though i want to see that proved, that beats ALL other bikes ever.

  17. miko on January 5th, 2010 2:06 am

This crap is not a bike its a car, with a car engine and has four wheels. so what do you think of this.

Who cares if it’s not a conventional motorcycle. It’s a beautiful piece. Sure you can’t speed safely at high speeds due aerodynamics but so what. I like the outlooks. Motorcycles generally are ugly. Japanese fantasy motorcycles are prettiest cycles ever (e.g. fenrir from final fantasy movie)

Conventional and traditional is usually boring and I-want-to-belong-to-a-certain-crowd thing. I prefer vehicles who look like they say: “Who cares about your opinion. This is my thing so if you don’t like it you can fuck off.”

Three wheeled thingies are cool, too.
